Garden Upkeep & Urban Farm Animal Care
In addition to being wild about animals, Anita is also passionate about plants. She lives in a small, eco-friendly home and grows much of her own fruits, vegetables and herbs in containers and an Aeroponic gardening system called the Tower Garden. Anita completed a Master Gardener program in Oregon with over 100 hours of service volunteering at various Farmer's Market in education and outreach, the Oregon Food Bank's "Seed to Supper" program, the Backyard Habitat Certification program and the Urban Farm Collective to name a few. Garden upkeep at your home includes harvesting, watering and weeding to maintain your plants, raised beds and yard while you are away.
She is also experienced with urban farm animal care and looks forward to watching over and feeding your chickens, ducks, rabbits, goats and other animals. She has taken care of horses and farm animals on the East Coast and volunteered with an equine therapy center and farm animal sanctuary here in Oregon.
